Hello, my name's Helen! I've just been to Florida, Orlando in particular and it was fantastic! The only downside is not knowing what to do while I was there as there is so much choice.
So what I've done here is put together all the things which I enjoyed the most and hopefully you can take note from my experience and make your Holiday to Florida just as special as mine was.
Holidays to Florida are my favorite. There is so
much to do there it’s unbelievable and it is
possibly the best place to go in the world! It is
not for any particular type of person either,
whether you’re going with your spouse, girlfriend,
boyfriend or your entire family! There is something
for everyone.
You
obviously cannot go for your holidays in Florida
without going to Disneyworld, is it by far the most
popular reason Florida is a hotspot for tourists. It
is going to set you back though as it can be rather
expensive. The only way to get them cheaper is to
book them before you go, apart from that it’s just a
case of perhaps saving up beforehand!
Water parks are a great way to cool off in the
Florida sun too! Along the very popular
International Drive you will find Wet n Wild, the
best waterpark in Florida today. There is fun for
the kids and yourself too with water slides, wave
pools and some of the most extreme thrill rides you
will experience anywhere. One that comes to mind is
“The Bomb Bay”, it’s a near vertical water slide,
you first start off standing and a trap door opens
beneath you and drops you down 76 feet! That is my
favorite one there by far, bit scary for the first
couple of times though.
Now back to theme parks, we’ve already covered
Disneyworld which is great for all the family, but
perhaps you want some rides that are a little more
extreme? If so, then you might want to head over to
Universal Studios. There are some rollercoaster's
here which will satisfy even the most extreme rider
going.
I’m talking about The Hulk, I think when I went, I went on it about 7 times in one day, it really was that good. There are still things to do for all the family here as well, including the area outside of the 2 main parks there are restaurants, bars and clubs that are open till late.
So where should you stay during your Holidays to
Florida? This is obviously dependant on how much
money you can spare. If you have a lot then a Disney
hotel has to be the obvious choice, for the sheer
joy of waking up there and never being far away. But
for those who are on more a budget, I would highly
recommend somewhere along International Drive. It is
close to most of the attractions in Florida, 20
minutes to Disneyworld, 5 minutes to Universal and
as I said before, Wet N Wild is on the Drive as
well.
What time of year should you go though? Prices vary
massively throughout the year, the most expensive
months are July – September. The best time to go in
my opinion though is at the end of March to early
April, why? Reason is that prices are about half of
what they are in May onwards. And you’re also not
compromising weather wise either because the
temperatures are still very high indeed, high 20’s,
low 30’s °C. Just keep this in mind if you’re
planning for your Holidays to Florida.
I hope this has been of some help to you and enjoy
your Holiday!
